Today my good friend Ben K. send me the link http://www.thewildernessdowntown.com/ and told me to check it out. He said it’s pretty amazing.

I didn’t know what to expect but normally it’s always some good stuff Ben passes on and what I discovered was no disappointment!

Great interactive website / music video for Arcade Fire‘s song We Used to Wait by Chris Milk. It makes use of HTML 5 and Google Street View Content to create a trully unique video experience.

Skate and Create is a video and photo challenge by transworld skateboarding.

Participants this year are the brands Adidas, Fallen, Etnies and Lakai.

The rules are simple:

- 1 warehouse

- 1 art director

- 1 TWS photographer

- 1 Film crew

- 6 skater (4 pros &  2 ams) from each participating company

- 9 days in the warehouse

- judged by TWS edit staff

I personally enjoy the Lakai video called “Lakairomania” directed by Ty Evans the most.

I love the idea of having a “burning set” and the music by Ima Robot.

“This is our one minute advertisement for the launch of Turkish Edition of The New York Times.

We constructed typographic versions of the most recognizable landmarks in Manhattan and Istanbul, and created a compact tour taking the audience from the New York Harbor all the way to the Bosphorus. Actual pages from the first issue of the newspaper were used to create the textures used in the scenes. The financial news page became NYSE and Wall Street, entertainment news turned into Times Square, and so on.

The result is 60 seconds of typographic goodness, mastered in 2K cinema resolution.

The project has been featured in 67th issue of Stash magazine (April 2010). You may see the details here.”

“Ich schreib hier von der typisch deutschen Kritikkultur, die mir schon seit längerem gehörig auf den Sack geht. Kritik ist super! Kritik kann helfen, man lernt dadurch, ganz klar. MUSIC: RAKIM – GUESS WHO’S BACK

Ich danke dennoch alle, die bereit waren mich zu unterstützen.

Hoffentlich klappt es nächstes Jahr.

Liebe Freunde und Bekannte, liebe Blogleser,

letztes Jahr habe ich bereits am Charity-Hike teilgenommen (www.charity-hike.de).

Dank der Hilfe von 20 Unterstützern (von Euch) konnte ich insgesamt 716€ für den guten Zweck erlaufen/fahren (8 Runden).

Auch in diesem Jahr werde ich wieder teilnehmen und hoffe auf Eure Unterstützung.

Folgend alle Fakten (von den Organisatoren zusammengeschrieben):

„Charity Hike 2010 :

Am 24. April treffen sich ca. 80 Teilnehmer zum 6ten Mal in Folge auf Deutschlands höchstem Berg, um gemeinsam für einen guten Zweck zu schwitzen!

Der gute Zweck:

Aus zahlreichen interessanten Projektvorschlägen der Teilnehmer, wurden die Projekte „Balu-und-Du“ (www.balu-und-du.de) und MVT (muskanviklangtrust.org) ausgewählt.

Balu-und-Du wird mit unserer Unterstützung einen neuen Standort im Süden Deutschlands eröffnen und

MVT kann mit unserer Hilfe das Jahresgehalt für 2-3 ausgebildete, indische Physiotherapeuten finanzieren.

Ablauf:

Die Teilnehmer tragen im Voraus des Events Spender in ihre persönlichen Rundenlisten ein (pro Runde ca. zwischen 1-? Euro).

Am 24. April, zwischen 10.00 – 15.00 Uhr werden die Wintersportler dann auf der Zugspitze so viele Runden abseits der Piste drehen wie möglich.

Zwischen 5-13 Mal rennen die Athleten den Berg hoch und fahren so schnell wie möglich wieder runter. Der- und diejenige mit den meisten Runden gewinnt.

Alle Teilnehmer dürfen sich abends in der Lodge im Rahmen der Siegerehrung einen tollen Sachpreis aussuchen.

Wer die meisten Spenden sammelt gewinnt außerdem einen wertvollen Spezialpreis.  Alle teilnehmenden Firmen, die das Engagement der Charity Hiker

mit hochwertigen Sachpreisen (z.B. Ski, Board, Kleidung, etc.) unterstützen finden sich auf der Charity Hike Homepage.

Der genaue Zeitplan wird auf der Homepage (www.charity-hike.de) veröffentlicht.

Es wird bei jedem Wetter gestartet (ggf. verkürzte Zeit oder/ und Strecke)!“
