Happy late “4ter Advent”! Alrighty, this is a film and soundtrack suggestion =)
On the 25.12. Soul Kitchen a movie by Fatih Akin will hit cinemas in Germany. Since he movie will only air in Germany so far here is the descripition from the offical website:
“Kneipenbesitzer Zinos ist vom Pech verfolgt: erst zieht seine Freundin Nadine für einen neuen Job nach Shanghai, dann erleidet er einen Bandscheibenvorfall. Als er in seiner Not den exzentrischen Spitzenkoch Shayn engagiert, bleiben auf einmal auch noch die ohnehin schon wenigen Stammgäste aus. Und als wäre das nicht schon genug, taucht auch noch sein leicht krimineller Bruder Illias auf und bittet ihn um Hilfe. Während Zinos noch überlegt, wie er den Laden los wird, um Nadine nach China folgen zu können, locken Musik und die ausgefallene Speisekarte immer mehr Szenepublikum an. Das ,,Soul Kitchen” rockt und boomt wie nie zuvor. Doch dann überschlagen sich die Ereignisse.

This song has come a long way…
The orginal song first recorded in 1974 by the R&B Band Bobby Blue Band.
In 1978 a hardrock band by the name of Whitesnake did a cover.
In 2001 Jay-Z’s sampled the orginal sound and did a song called In The City (Ain’t No Love).
Here is the instrumental version with you just the singin’ on it – super calm and relaxing. Enjoy.
